Job Description:

Role – Specialty Registered Nurse – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NNICU)

Schedule: Nights, 7p-7a, 36 hours - 3x12s, every other weekend, every other holiday

Assignment Details:

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

Requirements:

Currently licensed to practice professional nursing

BLS Healthcare Provider certification required

NRP certification required

2 years of experience in special care nursing of newborns

Experience in couplet care and NNICU (Level II)

Delivery attendance experience

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care for neonates during high-risk deliveries and in a Level-2 nursery.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care appropriate to the patient population.

Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify nursing care plans for patients and families.

Supervise and delegate selected activities to unlicensed assistive personnel within their scope of practice.

Participate in unit and hospital projects aimed at improving patient care.

Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to meet care objectives.

Provide patient and family education as appropriate.

Document nursing findings and evaluations in accordance with organizational policies.
