Explore a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Paraprofessional, supporting students in K-12 classrooms near Citrus Heights, CA. You’ll have the chance to make a real difference—working either as a dedicated 1:1 aide or in a classroom support capacity—helping students achieve their fullest potential throughout the upcoming academic year.
Skills and Experience Sought:
- Prior experience as a Paraprofessional, especially within special education environments
- Exceptional patience, empathy, and understanding for students with diverse learning needs and disabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with educational teams and families
- Competence implementing behavior support plans and positive behavior interventions according to district practices
- Experience providing instructional assistance, including lesson reinforcement and adaptation under the guidance of certified staff
- Flexibility to respond to varying student needs and a range of classroom settings
- Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all school interactions
- Excellent organizational and recordkeeping abilities to support student data collection and progress tracking
- Familiarity with following Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student academic, social, and behavioral goals
Position Highlights:
- Contract runs from August 13, 2026, to May 27, 2027
- 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Openings for kindergarten through 12th grade; 1:1 and classroom support roles available
