Job Title: Supply Chain Manager


Location: Powder Spring, GA


Salary: $90k to $130k


Duration: Full Time

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


This position is responsible for reducing costs throughout the supply chain by streamlining production.

• Leads the crucial processes of purchasing and materials management by maximizing the competitive position and the return on assets
• Manages the day-to-day activities of the purchasing function
• Develops short and long-term plans that support the Sales, Marketing, and Quality requirements of the division
• Ensures that specific customer requirements are achieved
• Develops and implements inventory plans and budgets and conducts business and necessary with other departments, divisions, and external contacts

COMPETENCIES


Defines material acquisition, in inventory management objectives and develops product and supplier planning

• Knowledge of finance and accounting principles with emphasis on purchasing and materials
• Excellent organization skills and ability to multi-task
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


Ability to think creatively to solve issues swiftly and productively

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Post-graduate degree and SCM certifications preferred by not required
• 2+ years of purchasing and materials management experience, including prior responsibility leading others
• 2+ years in an Automotive Manufacturing Environment or Steel Industry
• Experience purchasing / working with Metal suppliers ( steel , aluminum , etc)
