Lead Assembly - 1st Shift

Overview Position Title: Lead Assembly Wage: $18.00/Hour Shift: 1st Shift Hours: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Monday - Friday QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Lead Assembly in Horicon, WI. This is a potential to hire position. Responsibilities Assist the Supervisor in directing and assisting in the work activities of assemblers Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials Coordinate orders with material handling and work with Production Control to assure orders are ready for assembly Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies Verify specifications by measuring completed components Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources Provide input on schedule to ensure maximum efficiency and on-time delivery is met Keep informed of changes and new procedures throughout the day to stay on schedule Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results Document actions by completing production and quality forms Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards Requirements For Lead Assembly Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to complete dimensional measuring and quickly learn the use of precision measurement tools Ability to perform simple math and measurements Attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, crouching, or reaching above the shoulders Frequent use of hands and wrists on assembling parts Ability to understand/apply knowledge of “G” and “M” codes and have applicable computer skills Ability to focus and work at a continuous pace for extended periods Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with other departments Aptitude to take orders and execute them efficiently Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred Previous manufacturing experience preferred Previous experience leading employees Experience in a highly technical environment with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly preferred Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment preferred Use of measurement devices and various hand and power tools View email address on click.appcast.io QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
