Job Description As a Security Officer Patrol Operations Associate in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security‑related incidents, and support residents, staff, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule DayTime Monday 11:30 PM – 07:30 AM Tuesday 11:30 PM – 07:30 AM Saturday 11:30 PM – 07:30 AM What You’ll Do Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a shelter location. Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry when required, and document daily activities, unusual occurrences, and/or maintenance or security‑related concerns. Support staff and residents with directions, de‑escalation, and communication during routine operations and/or emergency situations. Minimum Requirements A New York State Security Guard License is required. At least 1 year of security‑related experience is required. Be at least 21 years of age. CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
