Supplier Quality Technician

Supports supplier quality and incoming inspection to ensure materials meet quality and compliance standards. Assists with inspections, supplier issue resolution, and measurement activities to maintain production quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials using calipers, micrometers, gages, CMM, and VMS
• Identify and process nonconforming materials and support disposition activities
• Assist with supplier-related investigations and corrective actions
• Support containment activities to prevent production impact
• Track supplier quality performance and support improvement efforts
• Perform dimensional, visual, and sampling inspections per specifications
• Review quality documentation (PPAPs, inspection reports, control plans)
• Provide guidance to inspectors on inspection methods and tools

Key Requirements

• Associate's degree + 1+ year of quality/inspection experience (preferred)
• Experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment
• Ability to read blueprints and basic GD&T knowledge
• Familiarity with CMM (operation, not programming required)
• Experience with supplier quality and nonconformance processes
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo Grove, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
