OTR HazMat Company driver (W-2) Job in New Haven, CT by HMD Trucking

Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- Hazmat endorsement
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying
Benefits
- CPM $0.65 base + $0.10 CPM safety/productivity bonus
- +$0.02 CPM when hauling hazmat
- $2,500 sign-on bonus
- Home time: 2 weeks out, 2 nights home

- Empty Miles: Paid at the same CPM as loaded miles
- Detention Pay: $25 per hour after the first 2 hours
- Layover Pay: $175 for every 24 hours
- Orientation Pay: $150
Deliver hazardous materials nationwide from New Haven, CT as part of HMD’s solo long-haul fleet.
Key Tasks:
- Safely transport HAZMAT in compliance with all regulations
- Perform thorough trip inspections and logging
- Optimize routes for efficiency and timeliness
Perks:
- 65 CPM base plus 4 CPM on hazmat loads
- Average 2,500 miles per week plus bonus opportunities
- Modern trucks under three years old with APU, inverter, and sleeper
- In-house maintenance and consistent freight
- Biweekly home time; full benefits including health, dental, vision, PTO, and 401(k)
Applicants need a CDL A license, Hazmat endorsement, and 12+ months OTR experience.
