Construction Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of construction projects from mobilisation through to completion. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership on site, coordinate daily operations, and ensure work is completed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, schedules, budgets, and applicable regulations. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent communication, sound judgement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key responsibilities include supervising subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and site personnel; coordinating site logistics, sequencing, and daily activities; reviewing drawings, scopes, and specifications; and identifying and resolving construction issues before they affect progress. You will conduct regular site inspections, monitor workmanship and materials, maintain accurate records, and support quality assurance and quality control processes. The role will also involve enforcing health and safety requirements, leading toolbox talks, reporting incidents, managing site access, and ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. You will work closely with project managers, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders to provide progress updates, coordinate inspections, and support successful project handover.


Applicants should have several years of experience supervising construction projects, with a strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, contract documentation, and site safety practices. Relevant trade qualifications, construction management training, or equivalent practical experience are desirable. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and confident directing teams and subcontractors while maintaining professional relationships. Strong problem-solving, planning, documentation, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and use standard project management or reporting systems. A valid driver's licence and any required site certifications may also be necessary.
