Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) | Elementary School | Full-Time | Bellwood, IL | 2026-2027 School Year

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a supportive elementary school team serving students in grades K-5. This full-time, school-based opportunity is located in Bellwood School District 88 and offers a manageable caseload, collaborative environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student success.

Position Details

• Full-time, onsite position
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Typical work hours: 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• 30-minute duty-free lunch
• 7 billable hours per day
• School year position

Caseload & Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 35 students
• Provide services to a small number of RTI/MTSS support students
• Address a variety of communication needs including:
• Expressive and receptive language
• Pragmatic language skills
• Articulation and phonological disorders
• Fluency disorders
• Support one Instructional Classroom (cross-categorical 3rd-grade classroom)
• Case manage approximately 5-10 students receiving Speech/Language-only services
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement
• Participate in IEP meetings and complete required documentation

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License through IDFPR
• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) through ISBE with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement
• Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
• Bilingual Spanish skills welcomed but not required
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
