Mechanical Architecture & System IntegrationOwn the mechanical architecture for rack- and row-based systems, including containment and wall-mount solutionsDefine and manage interfaces between mechanical, electrical, and thermal subsystemsEnsure system-level integration meets requirements for performance, safety, and compliance2. Design Execution & ValidationDevelop 3D CAD models and detailed mechanical designs (Creo preferred)Perform and coordinate FEA analysis, stress, and physical validation testingEnsure designs meet form, fit, function, and manufacturability requirementsDrive compliance with applicable industry standards and regional codes3. Cross-Functional LeadershipLead and contribute to cross-functional design reviewsCollaborate with product management, electrical/thermal engineering, and manufacturing teamsProvide engineering guidance during factory integration and productionMentor and support development of junior engineers4. Continuous Improvement & StandardsContribute to and refine Vertiv’s design standards and “playbook”Identify and implement improvements in system interoperability, serviceability, and scalabilityStay current on emerging technologies in data center infrastructure and mechanical design5.
