Job Description
Advance your career supporting students across pre-K through eighth grade in a dynamic contract role designed for experienced school psychologists. This district-based position focuses on evaluation-driven initiatives, offering an ideal professional environment for those who enjoy working in a collaborative, office-based setting rather than handling daily on-site student needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid IL Professional Educator License (PEL) and School Psychologist license (applications pending for travel professionals will be considered)
- Experience facilitating and completing psychological evaluations for school-aged children
- Strong background in leading domain meetings and team-based assessment processes
- Ability to oversee Early Intervention (EI) transitions, including TPBA
- Familiarity with the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) referral process
- Excellent communication, organizational, and report-writing skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations exclusively (an average of 63 annually)
- Lead and participate in domain meetings to determine assessment needs
- Manage the EI transition process, including participation in approximately 17 annual TPBA assessments
- Attend MTSS referral meetings for individual cases as needed
- Coordinate and maintain accurate records for evaluations and transition processes
- Work from the district office, focusing on responsibilities apart from daily, on-site student or staff issues
Position Details:
- Contract role with a Monday through Friday schedule, 7:45 am to 3:30 pm
- Start as soon as possible and continue through June 19th, 2027
If you’re driven to make a meaningful difference through student assessment and transitions, while enjoying a supportive and structured setting, we encourage you to take the next step in your professional journey. Submit your application today and discover an impactful opportunity to shape student support at a district-wide level.
Compensation for this position ranges from $40.00 to $60.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
