Job Details: Job Location: REMOTE-1001 - McDonough, GA 30253, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 4 Year Degree, Travel Percentage: Up to 50% , Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Sales, Job Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for managing and developing long-term relationships with customers while overseeing the successful execution of transportation logistics services. This role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction, maximizing account growth, and maintaining operational excellence. The Account Manager will act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts and work closely with internal teams to deliver efficient, cost-effective logistics solutions. Key Responsibilities: Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. Account Growth: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand service offerings with existing clients by understanding their evolving needs and proposing tailored logistics solutions. Service Execution: Oversee the end-to-end execution of transportation services, ensuring timely deliveries, cost efficiency, and operational accuracy according to client agreements. Performance Monitoring: Regularly track and review service performance metrics (e.g., delivery times, freight costs, carrier performance) to identify areas for improvement and ensure client satisfaction. Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve any service issues or disruptions, working collaboratively with internal teams and clients to implement corrective actions and prevent future problems. Contract Management: Assist in contract negotiations and renewals, ensuring terms are favorable to both the client and the company. Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular performance reports to clients, offering insights and recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis. Collaboration: Work closely with operations, finance, and customer service teams to ensure smooth execution of logistics operations and alignment with client expectations. Client Reviews: Conduct periodic account reviews with clients to evaluate performance, discuss new opportunities, and strengthen the overall partnership. Market & Industry Knowledge: Stay informed of industry trends, regulations, and developments in transportation logistics to offer valuable insights to clients. Qualifications: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience in account management, customer service, or sales in the transportation logistics industry. Solid understanding of logistics and transportation operations, including freight services (e.g., LTL, FTL, intermodal, air, and ocean). Proven ability to manage multiple accounts, meet deadlines, and deliver high levels of customer service. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data to develop actionable insights and drive improvements. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Preferred Skills: Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and related software. Experience with managing 3PL or 4PL service models.
