Job Description The Pioneer Valley Performing Arts Charter Public School is seeking a highly qualified Speech and Language Pathologist for the 2026‑2027 school year (.60 FTE). Starting Date: Aug 20, 2026 The Speech and Language Pathologist functions as a member of the total diagnostic team by providing comprehensive differential diagnosis, assessment, and educational planning for students with speech, language, and communication disorders. Services may be delivered in a variety of ways individually or in collaboration with other service providers, addressing receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, articulation, aural rehabilitation, oral motor intervention, auditory processing, and use of assistive technology. Responsibilities Providing speech‑language services to students with individualized education programs. Collaborating with the diagnostic team on evidence‑based interventions to help students achieve their speech‑language goals and objectives on their IEPs. Collaborating with the diagnostic team regarding information on students’ IEPs. Providing screening to identify students with suspected speech‑language disabilities. Keeping progress and tracking data using qualitative and quantitative information for individual students receiving speech‑language services. Maintaining a list of students’ names on the speech‑language caseload as well as those students who are screened and eligible for speech‑language services. Keeping track of and inventorying speech‑language intervention materials in the school. Logging therapy services. Providing progress reports. Working collaboratively with the Director of Student Services and Special Education Teams for students on caseload. Creating assistive technologies and augmentative communication plans as needed, maintaining inventory of assistive technology equipment and training staff on appropriate use of assistive technology. Position Type Part‑time Job Requirements Qualifications: The successful candidate will minimally hold a BA degree, be able to pass a background check (CORI/SORI & Fingerprinting), have at least two years of work experience with students in grades 7‑12, and be computer literate. Preferred qualifications include: Master’s degree Speech and Language Pathologist license from the State of Massachusetts Board of Health Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education certification/license as a Speech Pathologist Assistant—all levels Citizenship, residency, or work visa required. Salary and Benefits Salary range $43,268 to $68,719. Additional $1,000 stipend for individuals who hold a DESE license in subject area and potential for bonus at the end of the fiscal year. School Year and Hours The 2026‑2027 school year consists of 180 school days plus 5 professional development/curriculum work days and a thirty‑five hour work week that includes, on average, three class blocks per day of collaborative/independent work time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
