Senior Associate Facilities

Amgen seeks a Senior Associate Facilities professional to provide maintenance leadership and technical expertise for drug substance manufacturing facilities in Thousand Oaks, California. The role involves overseeing daily operations, preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and compliance with cGMP guidelines across multiple facility systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Advise, plan, and delegate maintenance tasks to technicians for preventative and corrective activities across drug substance facilities
• Oversee planned maintenance and emergency repairs of production equipment, doors, lighting, power supplies, and clean room components
• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, system owners, QA, and manufacturing management to prioritize daily activities and ensure GMP compliance
• Develop and revise standard operating procedures and job plans for maintenance operations in assigned facility areas
• Serve as subject matter expert for water-based critical utilities and participate in internal and regulatory audits

Requirements

• Master's degree, or bachelor's with 6 months maintenance experience, or associate's with 2 years experience, or high school diploma with 4 years experience
• 6+ years combined education and experience with 4+ years in FDA GMP regulated environment
• Knowledge of pneumatic, mechanical, and hydraulic fundamentals and building trades (carpentry, plumbing, electrical)
• Experience with root cause analysis, RCM, TPM, or reliability-centered maintenance concepts
• Proficiency in oral and written communication, mathematical reasoning, and intermediate computer skills
• 2-year technical degree in building maintenance, mechanical maintenance, or plant engineering preferred
