We Are Looking For Individuals Who: Reside in one of the following states : AK, AZ, CO, FL, ID, KS, NC, MD, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, WA, WY Have an active NP license + PMHNP certification in your state of residency Have at least 1 year of experience regularly prescribing buprenorphine‑based medications in an independent, outpatient setting as a core part of your daily practice Are interested in part‑time work: 4–25 hours/week, minimum shift length of 4 hours Preferably can take one recurring weekday evening shift (5pm to 9pm Eastern/2pm to 6pm Pacific) and have at least two additional weekday evenings available for voluntary shifts About the Role Clinicians work directly with patients to provide medication‑assisted treatment for Substance Use Disorders (SUD) and empower patients in their individual recovery journeys as a member of Boulder’s multidisciplinary care team. This high‑impact, patient‑facing role involves delivering compassionate and evidence‑based care through telehealth, with occasional audio/telephone visits and limited text‑based communications. Clinical work is assisted by Boulder clinical decision‑support tools within our custom EHR and real‑time support from colleagues and clinical leadership. Success in This Role Patient Facing (90%) Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage ongoing care for individuals with complex substance use disorders and related comorbidities Incorporate harm reduction practices into all patient care Help elicit patients’ goals for recovery and aid them in achieving these goals through therapeutic alliance and shared decision‑making Educate patients on Boulder’s model of care, SUDs, related comorbidities, and recovery strategies Coordinate with teammates and Clinical Leadership to develop and oversee treatment plans, adjusting them as needed Provide patient care during scheduled part‑time shifts, which may include nonstandard hours Use technology effectively to facilitate a safe patient experience Interpret and share clinical results with patients to help them stay safe Coordinate care, connecting patients to resources within and outside Boulder through referrals, working with Peer Recovery Specialists, Case Managers, and Care Navigators Administrative (10%) Deliver proactive, clear, and constructive feedback and collaborate with Boulder’s Technology and Operations teams to troubleshoot digital treatment platforms Complete all visit documentation by the end of shift Review relevant Slack channels for updates and team communication Understand and follow Boulder’s policies and procedures Requirements for the Role Minimum 1 year of addiction treatment experience as an NP, including adult populations 3+ years of clinical experience as an NP or RN preferred Degree from an accredited nursing school and a graduate‑level clinician program Ability to gain approval for multiple state licenses and insurance company contracts Expertise managing SUDs within a chronic care model, using medication‑assisted recovery paired with social needs management Proficiency with electronic medical records and video conferencing; experience with Google Suite or similar platform highly preferred Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with strong communication and collaboration skills Quick learning and adaptability to new technologies and evolving clinical practices Efficient time and caseload management within a part‑time schedule Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑based care model Dedicated, private workspace with a lockable door and high‑speed internet to ensure HIPAA compliance Cannot have previously been a patient at Boulder Care Schedule Expectations Part‑time clinicians typically work 4–25 hours per week Each clinician has one recurring weekly anchor shift, usually a weekday evening from 5pm to 9pm Eastern (2pm to 6pm Pacific) All shifts are a minimum of 4 hours Clinicians can pick up voluntary shifts as they become available, including additional weekday evenings or morning/midday hours Part‑timers may transfer to full‑time roles when positions open and if it aligns with their goals Compensation $68–$80 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Hiring Process First Interview : 30‑minute phone Panel Interview : 60‑minute video Hiring Timeline : Targeting start dates throughout Q2 of 2026 Benefits Sick leave accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours paid Licensing, credentialing, malpractice, and waiver renewal coverage Hardware provided Boulder Care believes the people who manage our product and team should be representative of those who use the platform.
