Brazer / Mechanical Assembler

Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Brazer / Mechanical Assembler is to perform brazing and mechanical assembly of components and subassemblies according to customer specifications, engineering drawings, and production requirements. This position requires hands-on experience with brazing, assembly tools, fixtures, and inspection of completed work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform brazing of components and assemblies according to work instructions and customer specifications.
• Prepare parts and materials for brazing, including cleaning, positioning, and fitting components.
• Assemble mechanical and sheet metal components using hand tools, fixtures, and production equipment.
• Inspect brazed joints and completed assemblies for quality, workmanship, and proper fit.
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Identify defects or inconsistencies and communicate quality concerns to the appropriate team member.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and required PPE guidelines.
• Assist with additional assembly or production duties as needed.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Previous brazing experience required.
• Experience with induction brazing preferred.
• Minimum of one year of mechanical or manufacturing assembly experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Experience working with hand tools, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform visual quality inspections.
• Ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a production team.
• Aerospace or precision manufacturing experience preferred.
• Soldering experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to perform detailed visual inspections with corrected vision of 20/20.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. regularly.
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
• Must be able to wear required PPE.
• Must be available to work overtime as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule:

• 8-hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday through Friday
