Responsibilities
- Deliver PTA-level interventions under the plan of care established by the supervising physical therapist.
- Implement therapeutic activities, including gait training, therapeutic exercises for ROM, strength, balance, and functional mobility.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment, document sessions, and communicate progress or changes to the PT and care team.
- Assist with transfers, ADLs, and wheelchair mobility to promote safety and independence.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to adjust the plan of care based on patient progress and goals.
- Maintain accurate charting, follow infection control and safety protocols, and ensure equipment is properly positioned and used.

Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in New Mexico or eligible for licensure in NM.
- Graduation from an accredited PTA program.
- Relevant clinical experience in LTAC or skilled nursing settings preferred.
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility environment and participate in a travel assignment.
- Strong communication, documentation, and patient safety skills.
