• Provide educational resources to patients and their families to ensure continued support and progress beyond therapy sessions.
• Participate in inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions as needed, ensuring seamless transitions in patient care.
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans thoroughly in alignment with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Commit to continual professional growth through ongoing education and collaborative peer interactions.

Education requirements include:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications include:

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within the first month of employment.
