Our worship team vision is to lead the members, attenders, and guests of Salem Baptist Church in worship that exalts the glory of Jesus and is shaped by the Word of Jesus. And so, we are a church that is seeking to grow in health and are seeking a passionate and spiritually grounded Worship Leader to help guide our congregation in worship. This role is ideal for someone who loves blending musical excellence with heartfelt ministry, and who thrives in a small, community-oriented setting. Responsibilities Be a Disciple of Jesus who Desires to Make Disciples of Jesus Lead Worship Music: Work with the pastor to plan and lead a Scripture guided worship service for Sunday services. Coordinate Musicians: Work with volunteer singers and instrumentalists to rehearse and perform worship music. Select Music: Choose songs that align with the sermon theme and church values—mixing traditional hymns and contemporary worship as appropriate. Spiritual Leadership: Encourage and pray with team members, fostering a Christ-centered worship culture. Qualifications Above all- Be a disciple who desires to make disciples- Character over Competence Vocal and instrumental ability Familiarity with a range of worship styles (traditional and contemporary) Ability to work collaboratively and humbly with church leadership and volunteers A heart for ministry and a desire to serve through worship Time Commitment Sunday Mornings: Worship service + pre-service rehearsal Midweek Prep: Planning, communication, and optional rehearsal (flexible hours) What We Offer A supportive and faith-filled community We want to help you grow as a disciple for what the Lord may have for you in the future Opportunity to grow spiritually and musically Opportunity to grow as a leader #J-18808-Ljbffr
