Senior Fund Accountant

Pugh Executive Search is assisting in the search for a Senior Fund Accountant. Our client, a well‑established investment organization with a collaborative, high‑integrity culture, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant or Accounting Manager to join their team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a CPA with strong public accounting roots who enjoys complex fund structures, real estate investments, partnership accounting or high‑net‑worth family office environments. The role is semi‑remote , requiring only one day per week in the DFW office , and offers stability, professional growth, and a people‑first culture. Requirements Active CPA (required) Public Accounting experience (required; audit or assurance strongly preferred) Experience in Fund Accounting, Real Estate Fund Accounting, or Family Office Accounting for high‑net‑worth individuals Strong understanding of GAAP and investment/fund structures Executive presence, Excellent communication skills, and experience working with executives and investors Must live within a commutable distance to DFW (role requires 1 day/week in office) Ability to work 45+ hours/week during peak cycles What You’ll Do Own the full accounting cycle, including journal entries, allocations, valuations, and financial reporting Prepare and review the accounting for the owner's personal accounting and investment portfolio. Lead Process and Reporting Improvements. Support real estate investment accounting, fund‑level consolidations, and performance analytics Partner closely with leadership, investment teams, and external auditors Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and fund governing documents This position is actively interviewing and will fill quickly.
