Special Education Specialist
Virtual Vocations Inc
To support families of students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), the full-time remote Special Education Specialist will provide individualized coaching, education, and ongoing support to empower parents in navigating the special education process. Key responsibilities Helping families understand special education laws, procedural safeguards, and IEP components Providing one-on-one coaching to parents and teachers of students with IEPs and preparing them for IEP meetings Monitoring and responding to parent inquiries while developing parent-friendly resources and facilitating workshops on special education topics Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Social Work, or related field 3+ years of experience working with students with disabilities or supporting families in educational settings Strong knowledge of the IEP process and special education regulations Experience as a special education teacher, case manager, or parent advocate Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy
