Resumes Accepted: June 15, 2026 – June 30, 2026 Starting Salary: $60,990.00 (negotiable upon experience) Days/Hours: 5 Days, Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Job Description: Highly motivated and detail oriented Accountant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Role and Responsibilities: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end journal entries Knowledge and ability to process accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and bank reconciliations Assist with bi-weekly in house payroll processing Understand payroll related reporting such as Florida Retirement System, 941’s, and W-2’s Oversee the identification, classification, and recording of leases and SBITAs in accordance with GASB 87 and 96 guidelines Assist with preparation of yearly close and audit Cross train and back up other areas of Finance as needed Other duties as assigned Physical Demands: Bend, walk, sit, stand for long periods Able to see, hear, speak Repetitive motion using coordination and dexterity abilities Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 5+ years of experience in accounting; preferably in governmental accounting Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting regulations Proficiency in accounting software and Excel Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills Annual Compensation: Health, Dental, and Vision Benefits; As an employee you do not pay a premium for yourself or any covered dependents for these benefits.
