About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Executive (CME) to join their Senior Administrative Team. The CME will be a key leader in the areas of medical staff relations, quality of care, patient safety, care continuity, and patient experience. This role is pivotal in Division and system leadership, ensuring the delivery of accessible, patient-centered, high-quality, safe, and equitable care. The successful candidate will be responsible for care integration and aligning local initiatives with Division and System strategies. The CME will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Nurse Executive, local and system quality teams, and the Division Chief Medical Officer to uphold the organization's mission of putting patients first and caring for their people always. Candidates for the CME position must have a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree and be eligible for California physician licensure. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred, along with Board Certification or eligibility. The role requires a part-time commitment, with a focus on days, and the ability to work as needed on weekends. The CME will be part of a community-based, not-for-profit healthcare system with a rich history and a strong commitment to serving the local population. The position is exempt, and the company is an equal-opportunity employer.
