Engage in professional growth within a mission-driven healthcare organization.Job DescriptionPrimary Care Physician OverviewThe Primary Care Physician role involves delivering comprehensive care to patients, focusing on outcomes and holistic health improvement.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care in underserved communities.Engage in value-based care practices, ensuring efficient documentation and patient interaction.Work onsite during weekdays, maintaining a structured schedule without after-hours or weekend commitments.Provide leadership within the medical center, championing a culture of accountability and compassion.Participate in professional development opportunities, including training and recruiting activities.Contribute to the organization’s mission of transforming healthcare for underserved populations.Utilize technology effectively for patient documentation and communication.Primary Care Physician Key Responsibilities & DutiesProvide care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring high-quality outcomes.Lead a care team to coordinate patient care and promote health education.Engage with hospitalists and specialists for comprehensive patient management.Perform assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and documentation for complex health needs.Participate in risk and quality management programs and clinical meetings.Recruit patients and providers to support center growth and community impact.Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Practitioners to ensure quality care.Adhere to departmental goals, regulatory compliance, and organizational policies.Primary Care Physician Job RequirementsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.Active state medical license and DEA certification for controlled substances.Board certification in relevant specialties, maintaining certification through CME and exams.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other healthcare-related software.Strong commitment to patient-centered care and outcomes-focused practices.Ability to travel locally and nationally for training and recruiting purposes.Fluency in English; additional language skills may be required for specific centers.
