Salary Range: $32.77 - $52.43 per hour

Position Overview

This role involves leading and coordinating unit staffing while ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the achievement of clinical objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee, guide, educate, and assess nursing and support staff during assigned shifts, contributing to performance evaluations.
• Evaluate daily patient care requirements and allocate care assignments, ensuring appropriate care is provided to all patients.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Assess the effectiveness of patient care and identify any issues impacting desired outcomes.
• Address patient care complaints through established protocols.
• May assist in the hiring, training, directing, and evaluating of staff.
• Maintain a constant state of alertness and safety.
• Perform additional duties as required.

QualificationsEducation

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program or possess equivalent educational qualifications for licensing.

Experience

A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse is required.

Physical Demands

• Regularly communicate verbally to convey information.
• Frequent standing and walking are necessary.
• Occasional lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing between 0-50 lbs.
• Regularly engage in sitting, reaching, and data entry tasks.
• Frequent visual acuity for near and far distances, as well as color differentiation.
• Regularly utilize smell for odor detection.
• Frequently use hearing for communication and to identify alarms or machinery issues.
• Occasional driving and rare crawling or running may be required.

Licensure and Certifications

Applicants must hold the following certifications based on their state of work location:

• Illinois: Basic Life Support (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association, Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, and one of the following: Advanced Life Support (ALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or NRP Essentials.
• Missouri: Basic Life Support (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association, Registered Nurse (RN) - Missouri Division of Professional Registration or Compact State, and one of the following: Advanced Life Support (ALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or NRP Essentials.
• Oklahoma: Basic Life Support (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association, Registered Nurse (RN) - Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Compact State, and one of the following: Advanced Life Support (ALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or NRP Essentials.
• Wisconsin: Basic Life Support (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association, Registered Nurse (RN) - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services or Compact State, and one of the following: Advanced Life Support (ALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or NRP Essentials.
