Located in Pea Ridge, AR, conveniently near Bentonville, Oak View Animal Clinic is a well-established, progressive 3-doctor small animal practice providing high-quality veterinary care to pets and their families throughout Northwest Arkansas.

As a veterinary receptionist , you'll be an important part of the client and patient experience from the moment they walk through our doors. Our fast-paced veterinary hospital offers a wide range of services, including preventative care, surgery, high-speed dentistry, in-house diagnostics, digital dental radiology, medical and vacation boarding, and more.

Job Description

What You'll Do

• Welcome clients and patients with a warm, professional approach and create a positive veterinary experience.
• Answer phones, emails, and client questions while directing concerns to the appropriate veterinary team member.
• Triage client concerns and help determine the appropriate next step.
• Schedule appointments to maximize hospital efficiency and maintain a smooth daily flow.
• Check clients in and out, process payments, and assist with other front-desk responsibilities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Provide compassionate and discreet emotional support to clients during difficult or sensitive veterinary situations.
• Communicate effectively with clients and the veterinary team to help ensure excellent patient care.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a veterinary receptionist who is compassionate, calm, organized, and comfortable working in a busy veterinary environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, team player, and multitasker who can stay composed while managing competing priorities.

• At least 1 year of veterinary reception or veterinary hospital experience is required .
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to the team.
• Comfortable discussing veterinary services, medical concerns, and various patient outcomes with clients.
• A genuine interest in veterinary medicine and providing exceptional client service.

This is a hands-on veterinary environment, so team members must be comfortable working around animals and being exposed to unpleasant odors and noises, as well as potential bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases.
