Clinical Medical Assistant
The Clinical Medical Assistant (MA) is a dual-role professional who serves as a primary liaison between the patient and the healthcare provider who balances direct patient care with administrative operations. Their primary goal is to streamline the clinic workflow while ensuring a professional, sterile, and compassionate environment for patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
- License(s) or Certification(s): Must be a Certified Medical Assistant. New graduates are eligible for a 90-day grace period to obtain a certification. Must maintain BLS Certification.
- Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups: Incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups:
- Adolescence (13-17 years): Not applicable
- All age groups: Applicable
- Infants (0-1 year): Not applicable
- Geriatric (65+ years): Applicable
- Pediatric/Early Childhood (1-12 years): Applicable
- Adult (18-64 years): Applicable
