Nurse PACU

Schedule

12-hour shifts rotating between days and evenings. Days shift is from 0600-1830 and evening shift is from 0730-2000. The unit operates Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays required.

Assignment Details

Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience
• Strong experience in PACU phase 1 recovery for large complex cases (neuro, thoracic, vascular, ortho spine)
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
• Pass telemetry test on Day 1 with 85% or better
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit
• Provide care for trauma, pediatric, orthopedic, and general cases
• Effectively manage patient pain and discomfort
• Conduct patient assessments and make decisions regarding care
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
