Shift: 12-Hour Day/Night Rotation

Contract: 89 Weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

EMR: Epic

Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU | 1:3 in Stepdown

Requirements

• VA RN License or Compact RN License
• BLS & ACLS required
• 2+ years of recent dedicated Cardiac ICU/CCU/CVICU experience
• Recent hands-on competency with:
  • VV/VA ECMO
  • IABP
  • TTM / Arctic Sun
  • Impella
  • CRRT
  • PA Catheter Guided Therapy
• Strong experience managing and titrating cardiac/vasoactive drips
• Ability to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips

Common Patient Populations

• Post-op CABG
• Heart & Lung Transplant
• Cardiogenic Shock
• Advanced Heart Failure
• Cardiac Arrhythmias
• Lysis
• Post IR/PCI Procedures
• TEVAR

Schedule & Other Details

• D/N rotation
• Every other weekend
• 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
• 1 major winter holiday + 1 minor holiday as needed
• No on-call requirement
• First to float, primarily between CICU and CVICU
• May float to other ICUs, Stepdown/Progressive Care/IMC/Telemetry as needed
• Orientation: 2 shifts
• Epic access required
• Scrubs: Navy blue or solid white tops/pants; jackets navy blue or solid white
