Job DetailsJob Location: PWW Brookhaven - Brookhaven, NY 11719Salary Range: $20.00 - $20.38 Hourly Under thedirect supervision of theOperations Director, Assistant DirectorDay Habilitation Program Coordinator, and programwithout walls administration team.The Day Program Specialist is to ensure thesafety and well-being of allparticipants enrolled in ourcommunity-basedprogram.Staff are to act as teachers, role models, andsupport tothe individuals we serve.Staff are to treateveryonewith dignity and respect and provide a setting that is caring, enabling, empowering, supportive, and which leads toincreasedindependence. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist, supervise,supportand instruct individuals to promote independence and integration into their community. Teach skills toassistthe individuals we serve, achieve a sense of accomplishment and self-worth in the areasof; Life Safety Training Communication Skills Training Cooking, budgeting & shopping Money Management Skills Trainings Socialization Skills Training Recreational activities, new and liked Individual and Group Social, Health Related, Recreation Activates Assistin the development and implementation of habilitation plans and goal development. Completedailydocumentation accurately andtimelyto reflect progress ongoals,other documentationrequiredas needed, includingRange of Scan,supervisionand trip forms. Provide safe transportationto and from dayprogramand throughout the day to community outings. Workwellas a team member with supervisors and co-workers.Follow management instructions,maintainingaccountability for whereabouts throughout the day. Maintain a safe, clean, and stress-free environment. Maintain and complete all requiredtrainings Other duties as assignedto ensure the operation of thedayprogram. #J-18808-Ljbffr
