PO&T Commercial Asset Development Lead

About This Role The PO&T Commercial Asset Development Leader is a member of the Asset Development & Portfolio Management (ADPM) team, providing cross‑functional guidance across PO&T’s line functions for commercial assets. The role oversees and owns various aspects of asset management development, related to asset strategy, development, supply, and life cycle management planning support for the commercial program. It also represents and provides critical input to R&D and PDC teams regarding life cycle management activities from the PO&T perspective. This high‑impact, highly visible leadership role has significant influence on asset value creation and portfolio decisions. The position is hybrid and can be based in Cambridge, MA or Baar, Switzerland. What You’ll Do Oversee the development and implementation of a 5‑year PO&T Asset Strategy and maintain an 18‑month rolling Tactical Plan, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives. Lead the cross‑functional PO&T Asset Team, comprising representatives from each PO&T Line Function, to ensure cohesive and effective execution of the PO&T Asset Strategy & Tactical Plan. Act as the liaison and representative for PO&T on R&D Program teams and PDC teams, fostering collaboration and communication between R&D, Commercial, and PO&T to support asset(s). Proactively address and manage conflicts related to the Asset Strategy in consultation with the PO&T Governance Committee, ensuring that PO&T Line Functions’ priorities are balanced with the needs of the Asset Strategy. Track and assess asset‑related impacts on financial metrics such as COGS, E&O, and OPEX, and work with PO&T Line Functions to develop strategies for improvement. Develop business cases for significant Asset initiatives and secure endorsement and approval from the PO&T Governance Committee. Qualifications BS or equivalent in Sciences/Engineering with an advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) preferred in a relevant biopharmaceutical discipline. Minimum of 12 years experience with a focus on matrix management and a track record of effective matrix leadership across the full product life cycle. Experience in alliance management, preferably global, and understanding of business contracts and management. Experience with CMC, supply chain, or LCM development extending from IND to NDA/BLA, including a solid understanding of global registration processes. Technical expertise in a relevant biopharmaceutical development discipline. Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, influence without authority a strategic direction; effectively leverage and develop diverse perspectives from matrix teams. Excellent strategic, political, organizational, and relationship development skills. Excellent communication, negotiation, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities. Demonstrated ability to identify critical program risks and develop mitigation plans to protect cost, reputation, and brand. Who You Are You are a seasoned leader with in‑depth experience in drug development, supply chain, or manufacturing. You will be part of ADPM and lead teams representing PO&T disciplines, maintaining critical partnerships with relevant program R&D and/or product commercial leaders. You will be instrumental in leading and facilitating key aspects of the PO&T vision, including influence, collaboration, data access and connectivity, and best practices for resource management, forecasting decision gates, and knowledge‑management initiatives. Job Level Management Additional Information Base compensation range: $163,000.00 – $225,000.00. Base salary is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
