Position Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using both standardized assessment tools and observational methods.
• Create individualized treatment plans aimed at meeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver targeted one-on-one speech therapy focusing on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
• Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to devise comprehensive care strategies.
• Provide education to patients and their families to support therapeutic progress beyond sessions.
• Assist with inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions as needed, maintaining continuity of care throughout each patient's therapy journey.
• Ensure that all documentation is accurate and timely, compliant with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
