We believe exceptional care begins with supported nurses, and we foster an environment where clinicians are respected, empowered, and equipped to do meaningful work—if you’re ready to make a lasting difference in patients’ lives, we invite you to join our team.Why You’ll Love Working with InterimAs a PRN Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) with Interim, you’ll enjoy:Competitive compensation ranging from $38.00 - $41.30 per hour DOE, plus mileage reimbursementFlexible scheduling that supports true worklife balance and autonomyDedicated 1:1 patient care, allowing you to focus on quality care, not volume401(k) with employer match to help you plan confidently for the futureSupport for your growth and well-being, including free CEUs, tuition assistance, and fitness reimbursementWhat You’ll DoAs a PRN Hospice Registered Nurse (RN), you will:Perform nursing assessments during scheduled, as-needed, or on-call visits to evaluate the patient’s physical condition, symptoms, and immediate care needs.Assess changes in the patient’s condition and promptly communicates significant findings to the RN Case Manager, physician, and/or appropriate members of the interdisciplinary group (IDG).Provide nursing care in accordance with the established plan of care and assists with implementing updates or interventions based on changes in the patient’s condition.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with hospice policies and nursing standards of practice.Provide interventions to support effective pain and symptom management and evaluates the patient’s response to treatment.Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding medications, symptom management, comfort measures, disease progression, and when to contact the hospice team for additional support.Coordinate with the RN Case Manager and other IDG members to ensure continuity of care and appropriate follow-up after PRN visits.Respond to changes in patient condition, symptom-management needs, and other urgent clinical concerns within the scope of the PRN assignment.Complete timely and accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, patient/family education, changes in condition, and communication with the hospice care team.Provide compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care that promotes comfort, dignity, and support for patients and their families.What You’ll NeedGraduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) programActive South Carolina RN license or Compact LicenseMinimum one year of nursing experienceHospice experience preferredIf you are a PRN Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) looking for a rewarding Hospice opportunity in Columbia, SC, we encourage you to apply and join a compassionate, patient focused team.Interim HealthCare is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
