Job Summary Performs a variety of human resources administration functions including hiring, recruiting, onboarding, benefit administration, data entry into the automated HR system, maintaining personnel files, and preserving EEO/AA records. Job Location & Salary Location: Reno, NV Salary: $21.00 per hour. Responsibilities Conduct hiring processes, recruiting, and initial training of new associates. Perform new associate orientation. Administer benefits and related documentation. Enter associate information into the automated HR system. Maintain personnel files and EEO/AA records. Prepare state/city board security applications and coordinate licensing activities. Assist with recruitment, screening, interviewing, hiring, and orientation of new employees. Coordinate applicant logs and maintain applicant records. Process corporate affirmative action reports and track hiring metrics. Maintain officer training records. Assist with payroll and benefits administration; reconcile related records. Record personal, tax, compensation, benefits, attendance, performance, and termination data. Update and maintain confidential personnel files. Examine personnel files to answer inquiries and provide information to authorized persons. Compile data from personnel records and prepare reports. Train employees and job candidates; conduct new employee orientation and mandatory licensing training. Provide health and safety training and follow instructional procedures. Organize training manuals, reference library, testing materials, evaluation materials, and educational aids. Perform tasks and duties of similar nature as required for assigned office. Basic Requirements 18 years of age or older. High School Diploma or GED required. Above average computer/technology skills. Excellent customer service and team leadership skills. Ability to work independently. Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful situations. Great attention to detail. Professional demeanor. Willingness to participate in the company’s pre‑employment screening process, including drug screening and background investigation. Reliable means of communication. Reliable means of transportation (public or private). Legal right to work in the United States. Ability to speak, read, and write English. 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience as determined by the company. Competencies Understanding of human resources administrative processes. Thorough knowledge of standard office procedures and practices. Knowledge of mathematical concepts including rates, ratios, percentages, averages, and reconciliation. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form. PC proficiency and familiarity with office productivity software. Good interviewing skills. Ability to write original correspondence. Planning, organizing, and project coordination skills. Clear and concise communication. Effective interaction at all levels and across diverse cultures. Professional composure in emotional or confrontational circumstances.
