ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supervise and direct nursing department through clear communication and accountability
Monitor overall clinical status of residents
Provide staff education through monthly meetings, rounding, and hallway coaching
Leadership rotation duties shared with other leadership team members
Attend care conferences and nutrition and hydration meetings frequently
Assist in identifying performance improvement activities
Must work closely with all team members to provide high quality care
Be prepared to work the floor if needed
Perform additional duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lift/carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
Push/pull medication carts up to 300 pounds occasionally
Twist, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, walk, and stand frequently
Able to communicate orally and/or in writing with residents, co-workers, families, and the public

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Must have an active RN license in the state of Wisconsin
BSN preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Must possess leadership qualities and excellent communication skills
Follow/adhere to organization, federal/state regulations and guidelines, including resident/client rights, standard precautions, fire safety, and first aid
