Security Manager

Job Description Summary As Security Manager, you play a critical leadership role in ensuring the safety, integrity, and operational excellence of the property. You are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Security Department, providing direct supervision of team activities and guiding your staff to uphold the highest standards of safety and service. By actively monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, you create a secure environment for guests, team members, and company assets. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Recruit, onboard, schedule, coach, evaluate, and manage department staff to support high performance and engagement. Drive the execution of strategic initiatives by translating organizational goals into actionable plans, ensuring team alignment, accountability, and timely delivery under the guidance of division leadership. Establish and uphold service standards within assigned department(s), ensuring consistent delivery that meets or exceeds guest expectations and operational goals. Patrol the casino and hotel property to detect safety or security hazards and intervene proactively. Oversee transfers of money, chips, and tokens on the casino floor and manage hopper fills, credit transportation, and armored escort procedures. Investigate and document incidents involving guests, employees, or property; secure crime scenes and submit detailed incident reports. Act as backup for Security Officers when necessary, including staffing coverage and direct response. Attend departmental meetings to facilitate communication and coordination across shifts. Oversee payroll and related administrative duties to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title31, and federal regulations. Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards. Qualifications 3 years of law enforcement, military, EMT, or related experience; includes leadership or progressive responsibility in security or protective services. Proven track record of effective decision‑making under pressure and in dynamic environments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence, coach, and resolve conflict across all levels of the organization. Ability to adapt leadership style to support changing business needs and team dynamics. Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and high‑performing workplace culture. Proactive problem‑solving mindset with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement. Skilled in prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines and drive results. Flexible and dependable schedule availability. Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word; familiarity with collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams. Requirements Position classified as safety‑sensitive and requires successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screening, including testing for marijuana. At least 21years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal. Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company. Verify right to work in the United States. Work Cards: Alcohol Awareness Card, Nevada Gaming Registration, Driver’s License, 10‑Year DMV History Report, Concealed Carry Weapon Permit. Physical Requirements Occasionally push/pull up to 75lbs and lift/carry up to 75lbs at floor, knee, waist, and chest levels. Occasionally squat, kneel, reach, bend, and twist. Regularly sit and work at a desk or computer; regularly stand and walk; occasionally run as situations dictate. Ability to communicate using in‑person speech, radios, and telephone. Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds in person. Ability to distinguish between shades of color. Ability to use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity. Work Environment Indoor, outdoor, smoky, noisy, bright flashing lights. Extreme heights, extreme hot/cold temperatures, slippery surfaces. Exposure to dust, fumes, and/or gases.
