Registered Nurse - Med Tele

Location

Overland Park, Kansas

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

7 PM to 7 AM, with a commitment of at least 48 hours per week. Must work every third weekend.

Job Description

Join a dedicated team in a 25-bed Med Tele unit focusing on renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general med/surg patients. The unit prioritizes safety, quality, and documentation compliance, while providing a team-oriented atmosphere supported by charge nurses and tech staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage 4-5 patients per shift, ensuring high standards of care and safety.
• Perform essential nursing procedures including documentation of patient care and compliance with HAI protocols.
• Engage in daily nurse leader rounds to enhance patient experience and care quality.
• Utilize various medical equipment such as EKG monitors, bladder scanners, and Alaris pumps.
• Float to similar units as necessary (Ortho, Neuro, CCU, etc.) to meet staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in the state of Kansas.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Basic dysrhythmia knowledge necessary.
• Must have a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
