Registered Nurse - Med Tele

Location Overland Park, Kansas

Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule 7 PM to 7 AM, with a commitment of at least 48 hours per week. Must work every third weekend.

Job Description Join a dedicated team in a 25-bed Med Tele unit focusing on renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general med/surg patients. The unit prioritizes safety, quality, and documentation compliance, while providing a team-oriented atmosphere supported by charge nurses and tech staff.

Responsibilities Manage 4-5 patients per shift, ensuring high standards of care and safety. Perform essential nursing procedures including documentation of patient care and compliance with HAI protocols. Engage in daily nurse leader rounds to enhance patient experience and care quality. Utilize various medical equipment such as EKG monitors, bladder scanners, and Alaris pumps. Float to similar units as necessary (Ortho, Neuro, CCU, etc.) to meet staffing needs.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Current RN license in the state of Kansas. ACLS and BLS certifications required. Basic dysrhythmia knowledge necessary. Must have a positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset.
