Job Overview This position provides front-line technical support to ensure the smooth operation of end-user systems and business applications. The role is responsible for addressing routine IT issues, maintaining accurate support records, and delivering timely, customer-focused service. Key duties include troubleshooting hardware and software concerns, managing support tickets, assisting with user account administration in Active Directory and Microsoft 365, and monitoring system alerts to proactively identify potential issues. The position also contributes to internal knowledge resources by documenting solutions and best practices. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively understand user needs, provide clear updates, and ensure a positive support experience. Responsibilities Respond to and resolve basic technical support requests (Windows, Office 365, printers, etc.) Create and manage support tickets Assist with user account setup and password resets in Active Directory and Microsoft 365 Help monitor systems and alerts Document solutions and contribute to our internal knowledge base Communicate clearly with clients to understand issues and provide updates Physical Requirements Work is primarily performed in an office environment or at a standard workstation. Regularly required to sit for extended periods while working on a computer, with occasional standing and walking within the office. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office and IT equipment. Close visual acuity required for working on a computer, reviewing tickets, and reading technical documentation. Occasionally may need to bend, reach, or crouch to access computer hardware, cables, or printers. May occasionally lift or move equipment such as computers, monitors, or small printers, typically up to 25 pounds. Travel Local and overnight travel may be required on occasion for other Plant support; Niles, MI, Sample Street, Indy locations.
