Growing together.The Medical Assistant position is responsible for coordinating and assisting the provider to ensure safe quality/cost-effective service and care for the people within the practice population. This position will also be responsible for providing technical clinical services and clerical support for the delivery of quality patient care as directed by licensed staff, a physician, or a mid-level practitioner.This position will work at: 1212 Harrison Ave., NW Olympia 98502Hours for this position: Monday - Thursday, 7:00-5:30Primary Responsibilities:Working the front desk to be the first friend face to greet patientsCollects patient assessment data to include height, weight, vital signs, chief complaint/symptoms, and current medications for assessment by licensed staffPrepares the patient for provider evaluation by obtaining specimens, positioning for exams, listing medications, and assisting during exams and proceduresMaintains work area, exam treatment, and lab in a clean, safe manner; restock with supplies as neededAssists with lab procedures by collecting urine specimens, collecting, and preparing blood samples for reference lab; labeling all specimens with accurate patient ID as ordered by the physicianDocuments patient information in the medical record to include updated treatment procedures, medication refills, test results, and patient concerns, etc.Assists and processes all scripts, referrals, and authorizations as neededManages flow of patient care, while ensuring phones are being answered, and appointments are as efficient as possibleSchedules patients for injections and infusionsOrders supplies and medications. The hourly pay for this role will range from $22.00 - $30.00 per hour based on full-time employment.
