Location: Rogers Park / Chicago, Illinois

Job Type: Full-Time, 1.0 FTE, W2

Work Setting: Residential and community-based services

Schedule: Typically Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility based on client needs

Pay: $90,000–$105,000 annually, based on relevant experience.

Overview

Avento Health is recruiting a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a full-time opportunity with a nonprofit developmental disabilities services organization in the Rogers Park / Chicago area.

This role is a strong fit for a BCBA who has experience developing behavior support plans, completing behavioral assessments, supporting direct care teams, and working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential or community-based settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and oversee behavior support programs and related clinical documentation.
• Write and revise behavior support plans based on individual needs, assessments, and team input.
• Complete behavioral assessments, functional behavior analyses, risk assessments, and monthly notes.
• Provide behavioral consultation, training, and guidance consistent with applicable professional standards and payer requirements.
• Train and support direct care staff on behavior intervention strategies and individualized plans.
• Monitor implementation quality, documentation accuracy, and opportunities for retraining.
• Collaborate with internal teams, guardians, outside providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Respond to phone-based on-call needs as required.
• Provide services in homes, community settings, and other client environments as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
• Experience writing behavior support plans.
• Experience with behavior assessments, intervention planning, documentation, and staff support.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for community-based work.
• Strong documentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness and ability to complete Illinois Medicaid provider enrollment if not already enrolled.
