Press Assistant

Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and the Senate Finance Committee Democratic Staff seek to hire a PressAssistant to be based in Washington, D.C. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, excellent communicators, fast learners, resourceful and passionate about public service. Candidates with strong writing skills, video editing and graphic design experience, research skills, and an overall understanding of effective communication, will be prioritized. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: drafting quotes, press releases, statements, tweets as well as creating graphics and video content. This is a full-time, predominantly in-person role, with remote work possible during recess. This is an entry-mid level position. Applicants are eligible for full federal Senate benefits.
