Will accept 3x12 or 4x12 schedules. Must be willing to work 4 of the 8 designated holidays: Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, December 26. New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day. Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department. Academic/Teaching facility. Approximately 130 patients per day. 42 beds available; 5 trauma rooms. First-timers are accepted. Weekend requirement: every other weekend. On-call requirement: no call. Floating is not required. Open to accommodating block schedules at manager's discretion. RTO restrictions: all time off requests must be submitted with application. Special requirements: EPIC experience required. Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS. Skills required: - Arterial line management. - BiPAP/CPAP management. - Blood product administration. - Care of ventilated patients. - Central line care/management. - Continuous IV sedation. - Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs). - Interpretation of dysrhythmias. - Phlebotomy. - Triage. - Experience with trauma cases. Patient age groups: adults and geriatrics. Daily census: approximately 130. Additional information regarding interdisciplinary support: includes various services such as therapy, pharmacy, and transportation. Candidates who live within 70 miles are not accepted. Travelers must complete health and safety requirements before starting. Failure to comply may result in cancellation of the assignment. All clinicians cannot work past one year as a traveler and must take a break before reapplying. Modules will be required before starting. Completion of modules is part of onboarding process.
