Manufacturing Technician II

Manufacturing Technician II at Thermo Fisher Scientific's Santa Clara facility assembles, tests, and verifies single-use bioprocessing equipment and control systems in a regulated production environment. The role ensures product quality, schedule adherence, and GMP compliance while supporting manufacturing operations for biopharmaceutical production technologies.
Responsibilities
- Perform manufacturing, assembly, testing, rework, and functional verification activities following SOPs and production requirements
- Build, test, troubleshoot, and repair equipment including bioreactors, control systems, pump towers, and assemblies
- Stage systems for integration, testing, validation, and final quality inspection
- Complete production records, travelers, and documentation in compliance with GMP and data integrity standards
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate production issues; collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve deviations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year manufacturing, production, assembly, or operations experience
- Manufacturing, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or equipment-related experience
- Ability to read and interpret SOPs, work instructions, BOMs, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and assembly tasks
- Proficiency with hand tools, electrical test equipment, and measurement devices
- Understanding of GMP, safety, quality, and data integrity requirements
