Environmental Scientist I

We are seeking an Environmental Scientist with 0 - 5 years of professional experience to be part of our Environmental Services department in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office . WGI is seeking an entry level environmental scientist to serve as an “In-House” consultant to assist senior staff with technical support and local, state and federal regulatory permitting of transportation projects in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties, as a function of duties for a districtwide contract with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) - District 6. The Environmental Scientist will be responsible for providing technical support to our transportation projects. This position is for someone who enjoys a mixture of office and field work and enjoys a diversity of project types. The Environmental Scientist will work under the direction of several senior-level environmental professionals with diverse areas of expertise including wetland and upland permitting, and protected species management.
