Heartline Staffing is recruiting an experienced Financial Planner - Lead for a full-time, onsite opportunity in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. This client-facing position serves as a Lead Planner / Service Advisor, providing comprehensive financial and retirement planning while developing and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This is primarily a non-sales financial planning and client-service role. The Financial Planner serves as the main point of contact for assigned clients, provides day-to-day financial planning support, manages meeting follow-up and recurring client reviews, and works closely with Lead Advisors and other team members.

The role also offers opportunities to identify additional needs within existing client relationships, including additional assets and cross-sale opportunities. The position requires strong technical planning capabilities combined with exceptional responsiveness, attention to detail and relationship-building skills.

COMPENSATION
• Salary Range: $121,000-$150,000
• Performance-Based Bonuses
• Relocation Assistance: No

SCHEDULE
• Monday-Thursday: 8:45 AM-5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:45 AM-2:30 PM Assuming All High-Priority Tasks And Work Are Completed
• Paid Lunch Hours
• Onsite In Buffalo Grove, IL

FINANCIAL & RETIREMENT PLANNING
• Prepare Comprehensive Financial Plan Recommendations
• Develop Robust Retirement Income Plans And Retirement Plan Tracking
• Prepare Investment Portfolio Summaries And Asset Allocation Analyses
• Prepare And Analyze Financial Planning Reports
• Utilize Tax Planning Software To Assess Client Tax Situations And Strategies
• Run, Review And Compare Annuity Illustrations
• Run, Review And Compare Life Insurance Illustrations
• Run, Review And Compare Long-Term Care Illustrations
• Complete Additional Financial Planning Analyses And Services As Needed

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
• Serve As The Main Point Of Contact For Assigned Clients
• Service Client Needs, Requests, Questions And Updates
• Meet Regularly With Clients To Develop Trusting And Supportive Relationships
• Conduct Regular Client Reviews According To The Assigned Service Model
• Proactively Check In With Clients Throughout The Year
• Manage Client Meeting Follow-Up And Ongoing Planning Needs
• Help Ensure Client Needs Are Addressed Responsively And Accurately

TEAM COLLABORATION
• Work Within A Team-Based Pod Structure
• Collaborate With Lead Advisors And Other Team Members On Client Cases
• Assist With Data Input And Development Of Comprehensive Retirement Plans
• Support A Broad Range Of Financial Planning Needs And Calculations
• Support Existing-Client Opportunities Including Additional Assets And Cross-Sale Opportunities

• Minimum 3 Years Of Experience Working Directly With Clients As A Financial Planner REQUIRED
• Active Series 65 Or Series 66 License REQUIRED
• Bachelor's Degree From An Accredited College Or University REQUIRED
• CFP Designation Must Be Obtained Within 2 Years Of Hire If Not Already Held REQUIRED
• Life Insurance License Must Be Obtained Within 6 Months Of Hire If Not Already Held REQUIRED
• Strong Financial And Retirement Planning Skills REQUIRED
• Very Strong Microsoft Excel Experience REQUIRED
• Strong Attention To Detail And Accuracy REQUIRED
• Ability To Manage Multiple Items And Projects Simultaneously REQUIRED
• Strong Client Relationship-Building Skills REQUIRED
• Ability To Work Onsite In Buffalo Grove, IL REQUIRED

PREFERRED
• Current CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP) Designation
• Current Life Insurance License
