JOB GOAL: The position of School Psychologist is to improve the academic achievement, social skills, and emotional well-being of all students through either direct contact with students, or evaluation and consultation with other professionals. The School Psychologist functions as a member of the Evaluation Team, Crisis Intervention Team, and MTSS Team.

REQUIREMENTS
- QUALIFICATIONS: All educators hired by Middletown Public Schools must provide Certification of demonstrated Proficiency or Awareness in Science of Reading and Structured Literacy, appropriate to the work assignment.
- Licensed as a School Psychologist by the RI Department of Elementary & Secondary Education
- Masters degree from an accredited college or university
- Documentation of a clear BCI/FBI report
- Demonstrate understanding of the processes and regulations which govern special education
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- The ability to administer, interpret, and report on educational assessments, psychological assessments (cognitive and projective instruments)
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required
