Talascend is seeking a Junior Industrial Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Dayton, Ohio.


This is a great opportunity for mechanically minded technicians who enjoy troubleshooting, working with their hands, and keeping production equipment running at peak performance. Candidates with at least one year of hands-on mechanical, maintenance, automotive, military, or similar experience are encouraged to apply.



Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair manufacturing machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Replace worn or damaged machine components
• Assist with equipment setup and production support activities
• Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment to complete maintenance tasks
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work instructions
• Prepare production equipment for operation and support machine changeovers as needed
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Work as part of a team to support production and maintenance goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• At least one year of maintenance, manufacturing, mechanical repair, automotive repair, military maintenance, or related hands-on technical experience
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Ability to read basic blueprints, diagrams, and schematics preferred
• Ability to work in a safety-focused environment
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Ability to work any shift and overtime as required
