Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Service Technician, preferably in commercial or industrial facilities
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in commercial or industrial facilities
- Strong working knowledge of: HVAC mechanical systems, Electrical troubleshooting related to HVAC equipment and Refrigeration principles and airflow diagnostics
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals
- EPA Universal Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive electrical, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on Commercial HVAC systems, including:
- Rooftop units (RTUs)
- Split systems
- Air handlers, VAV boxes, and exhaust systems
- Boilers, chillers, and heat pumps (where applicable)
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related HVAC issues and implement effective corrective actions
- Perform HVAC system startup, shutdown, seasonal changeovers, and performance optimization
- Monitor building automation systems (BAS) and make minor control adjustments as needed
- Ensure HVAC systems operate efficiently and in compliance with manufacturer specifications and local codes
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and documentation related to HVAC work
