Systems Safety Engineer

Overview System Safety Engineer – working with the System Safety Engineering group on missile launching system programs. Responsibilities Provide analysis and design support for system safety programs. Perform requirements analysis, interface analysis, and operations analysis. Conduct system safety test and verification. Collaborate with senior safety engineers to integrate safety into hardware and software. Contribute to improving and evolving the system safety process and methodology. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent technical discipline. Minimum 1 year of experience in system safety engineering or related fields. Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Desired Skills Experience with radar/sonar development and/or electrical hardware design. Experience with requirements and model‑based engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, CAMEO). Experience with software development tools and methodologies (Agile, DevSecOps). Familiarity with MIL‑STD‑882E and other industry safety standards. Experience working with military/DoD customers. Security Clearance Requires a U.S. government security clearance; applicant must be a U.S. citizen. Pay Range Base salary ranges based on location: $73,400 – $129,260 in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding major metros), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or DC; up to $84,300 – $146,165 in major urban centers.
